Created from an original photograph of art model Amy, known as Psstmagic, ROOM//NOIR 002: Pieces breaks the portrait apart and rebuilds it through fragments of skin, eyes, expression, texture, color, and organic form.
The composition moves like memory does. We rarely remember someone as one perfect image. We remember a look. A detail. The curve of a shoulder. A moment of eye contact. Small pieces that somehow become the whole.
Warm skin tones overlap with black-and-white portrait fragments, handwritten type, rough yellow marks, and delicate dried flowers. The result sits somewhere between photography, collage, editorial design, and a page torn from an art journal.
It is soft without being quiet. Sensual without needing to explain itself.
