These collections move through portraiture, figurative art, fashion, travel, and experimental photography, bringing individual images together as complete visual narratives. Each collection offers a different entry into The Room Noir Project and the people, places, ideas, and experiences that continue to shape the work.
Between Light & Shadow is a fine art photography series featuring Pivot Pixie, created in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Using sculptural poses, architectural lines, and minimal light, the series explores form, movement, and the quiet tension between what is revealed and what remains in shadow.
The Madam Soph Studies is a fine art photography series created in Los Angeles with model Madam Soph. The collection explores tattooed form, quiet confidence, and personal expression through intimate portraiture, bold composition, and a balance of softness and strength.
The Lost Mexico Files is a photography collections of recovered photographs featuring model Erika, created during a six-month period in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Saved from a failed backup, the surviving images embrace grain, softness, hard light, deep shadow, and imperfection as part of their character, preserving fragments of a collaboration that was nearly lost.

Room Noir was built around the idea that photography becomes more interesting when individual images are allowed to exist as part of something larger. Our photography collections bring together work connected by a subject, location, visual language, creative experiment, or shared period of time.
Some collections begin with a clear concept. An editorial may be planned around a particular model, wardrobe, location, or approach to light. Other bodies of work aren’t recognized until much later, when photographs created months or even years apart begin to share a visual language.
This approach allows Room Noir to move between editorial photography, portraiture, figurative art, fashion, travel, and experimental photography without treating them as completely separate worlds. A portrait can become part of a larger study of a person. A photograph created while traveling can become part of a story about a place. An experiment with light and shadow can eventually develop into an ongoing series.
The collections also preserve the stories surrounding the photographs. Through the Room Noir Journal, selected projects expand beyond the finished images to explore where they were created, the people involved, the ideas behind them, and sometimes the unexpected circumstances that changed what the work eventually became.
Selected photographs from these collections are also produced as limited edition fine art prints, allowing individual works to move beyond the collection and exist as physical pieces in their own right.
