ROOM//NOIR 004: Moon Man began with photographs I made of the moon at different points in its cycle. Instead of leaving those images as traditional lunar photography, I pulled them into a graphic composition about curiosity, distance, and our need to keep reaching for things bigger than ourselves.
Two moons hover against a worn black field, splitting the word MOON into something almost symbolic. At the bottom, a tiny astronaut plants a flag beside the final letter, dwarfed by everything above him.
That scale is the point.
The moon can feel close enough to photograph from our own backyard and impossibly far away at the same time. We study it, name its phases, build machines to reach it, and still stop to look whenever it appears unusually bright in the night sky.
Moon Man plays with that contradiction. Something enormous becomes part of a minimalist graphic. Something familiar becomes strange again.
Created from original Room Noir moon photography and rebuilt as a contemporary poster about exploration, perspective, and looking beyond where we are.
Printed at 16 × 20 inches on Premium Luster Photo Paper, giving the deep black background, lunar detail, and bold yellow typography a crisp, high-contrast finish.
This poster has a partly glossy, partly matte finish and it’ll add a touch of sophistication to any room.
